How We Build Safety
WAATechnologies uses internationally proven composite winding technology — the same process used in aerospace, defence, and high-performance engineering applications worldwide.
Filament Winding
High-strength glass fibre filaments are wound in precise geometric patterns over a HDPE liner using CNC-controlled winding machines. The winding angle and tension are computer-optimised for maximum burst resistance.
Resin Impregnation
Fibres are simultaneously impregnated with a high-performance thermoset resin matrix. The resin bonds to the fibres, creating an ultra-strong composite shell that distributes pressure load evenly across the cylinder wall.
Cure & Consolidation
The wound cylinder undergoes controlled heat curing in precision ovens. This crosslinks the resin matrix to full mechanical strength, achieving glass-transition temperatures well above operational limits.
Hydro & Leak Testing
Every single cylinder is subjected to hydrostatic pressure testing to 1.5× working pressure, followed by air leakage testing. Zero defects leave the facility — this is non-negotiable.
Quality Certification
Batch samples are tested to ISO 11119-3:2020 and BS EN 14427:2022. Cylinders receive PEC licensing and PCSIR certification. Design and approvals are per EN 14427 and ISO 11119-3 — exactly as specified in international standards.
